SINB Thermo-MADERA dog house
Our SINB Dog houses are made in 5 different sizes, with flat or high-angled roofs.
Characteristics and selection of the SINB Dog houses:
Versions with flat and high-angled roof
Dogs enjoy lying on top of the flat roof versions. These are only recommended for covered spaces due to the lack of drainage for water.
Openable roof
Cleaning and access to internal parts of the dog house is easier with the roof opened up.
Curtain (optional)
It provides protection from wind for the entrance opening of the dog house. Due to its transparent material the house remains light and the dog can see through it. Its use is recommended in cold winter weather, it can be removed from the house in the summer. It loosely fits to the entrance and does not prevent or represent any obstacle for the movement of the dog.
Carpet (optional)
Wear resistant carpet can be purchased and fitted to the bottom of the houses, in such a way that the dog cannot cause any damages (scratch, chew). An easy-to-clean lying surface.
Thermo-Window
The back wall of the dog house is an insulated thermo-glass wall, which ensures light and views outside. It can be beneficial for a guard dog as they are able to see in several directions and it also causes pleasure to the owner to see their favourites from the window as they are peacefully sleeping in their house.
Edge and corner protection against potential chewing and damage.
Some dogs, especially when they are puppies, find it pleasurable to chew anything they can. To prevent their home becoming a victim, all the corners are fitted with corner protection. Not all dogs chew their house, in these cases the use of edge protection is only a question of aesthetics. If you consider the edge protection on the house as unnecessary, they can easily be removed or the SINB houses can be purchased without them.
Offset entrance (optional)
The entrance location can be designed anywhere on the dog house. However the idea that an offset entrance provides better heat protection for the dogs is incorrect. If an appropriately sized dog house (that can be heated with their body temperature)is selected, the house will be full with the dog, therefore it does not matter where the door is, as the dog will be behind it!
Five different available sizes
Selecting the right size is very important. If a dog house that is warm in winter is an important aspect, it is not right to buy a large and tall (comfortable) house for the dog. The size of the house is correct if the dog needs to tilt their head to enter the house and they are just able to turn around inside. A dog does not spend time standing in the dog house, but lying, it is not appropriate to choose a tall space for them as they are the ones who have to heat it in the winter. If on a cold winters night several different sized house were available for our cold dog, they instinctively (just as their relatives in the wild) would choose the one that just about accommodates them. If you have the opportunity, try it! Selecting the dog house does not directly depend on the weight of the dog. The breed, age of the dog and how well they can turn around are also relevant. Not all dogs feel the cold the same way not even in winter, however they all require wind proofing.
If we choose a large house, the dog cannot heat the space despite good insulation.
The size of the dog house is correct if the dog is able turn around with a tilted head and is comfortable in it.
In order for our pet to enjoy their home the location and positioning of the kennel or house is also important. If we can, we should put the kennel or house in an area that is clearly visible and is protected from the wind. In the winter time it is worth fitting a curtain on the door or a windproof panel on the dog kennel.
We hope that the above information will help you in choosing the right dog house. If you have any questions please call us or visit us at our site in Vác.
